Born and raised in Indonesia, Francine spent her young adulthood in places like Malaysia, Singapore, and Minnesota. As her love of food, family, and fur balls (dogs) grew, Francine found herself experimenting with many different styles of cooking inspired by the places she once lived in & those that she visited in her travels like France, Italy, and many more. One of her favorite stories is "Around the World in 80 Days" by Jules Verne.
From human's to K-9's food. Francine delights in making treats for those close to her - from savory dinners like Indonesian beef rendang or French coq au vin, to sweet treats like American cheesecake or Indian Masala Chai tea, to home-made doggie peanut butter cookies - nothing is off-limit! She fully believes that if it can be made in a kitchen, no matter where in the world, it can be made at her home with some creativity. Francine loves to explore the world & its cultures from the comfort of her own home - which is her inspiration to encourage you to do the same from the comfort of your own home.

Born in Bucks county, Pennsylvania to a pair of Wales-German parents, Kevin loves his beef, beer, and bartending-at-home. His favorite food is the German Sauerbraten paired with the Belgian Chimay Blue dark ale beer. Kevin is the resident mixologist at the Ways' home & often engineers drink pairings to Francine's cooking.
Born a Shih-tzu-Bichon mix, Schumi was adopted into the Ways' family when he was 18 months old. His favorite treat is the Himalayan dog chew, which along with some squeaky toys and snuggling on mom's or dad's lap, made him very happy. Schumi is the inspiration behind all of the K-9 recipes in this blog as he often told Francine: Let's "chow" the world together!
